Wash, Wash, Wash - Wash Your Hands Song

Mommy Nature's Preschool Blog

This song flows to the old tune of Shake, Shake, Shake, Shake Your Booty by K.C. & the Sunshine Band.  It's a bit silly in some parts, but it gets toddlers to slow down and really wash.  You can sing it at circle time while acting out the song or sing it while actually washing the child's hands.  Because children tend to rush through this usually boring task, therefore not washing their hands sufficiently, many people suggest getting them to sing a song like the ABC's to learn how long to scrub.  I created this related song to keep preschoolers focused while actually learning what to do.

Wash, Wash, Wash - Wash Your Hands
by Gina Moore

Wash, wash, wash, wash your hands.
Wash, wash, wash, wash your hands.
Wash them clean
So they don't turn green.
Wash your hands.
Wash your hands.

Rinse, rinse, rinse, rinse your hands.
Rinse, rinse, rinse, rinse your hands.
Rinse them well
So they won't smell.
Rinse your hands.
Rinse your hands.

Dry, dry, dry, dry your hands.
Dry, dry, dry, dry your hands.
Dry them on the towel.
Now they won't growl.
Happy hands.
Happy hands.
