	~ Question/Graph of the Week:  What kind of animal do you have at home? ~ Introduce all alligator toys, books, etc. for free play ~ apple shapes provided with hole puncher to punch worm holes for counting
8:30 - 9:00	Group Activity (Board Games, Activity Buckets, Puzzles, Group Games, Art, Cooking)
	M ~ Let's Get Cookin' - strawberry shortcake: count 1 cake, 1 dollop of whipped cream, 1 strawberry T ~ Let's Find Out Scholastic Weekly Magazine W ~ Sing "My address is..." to Oscar Meyer tune.  Create home pictures using geometric shapes on a colored paper.  Add "My address is..." stickers and write each child's address.  Reinforce all year. Th ~ play dough:  Can you make an a, or an apple? F ~ Forest Family Forever DVD by the Rainforest Action Network

9:45 – 10:00	Table Activities (Morning Meet. Extension – games, art)
	M ~ Create alligator rubbings using textured foam squares as backing and a variety of green and brown crayons.  These creations will be torn into "scales" and used to decorate our Allie Alligator picture. T ~ Make apple art with shaving cream, glue, and red food color. W ~ Listen to alligator sounds. Discuss alligator nature card. Watch Alligator Power Point Presentation. Th ~ Make Allie Alligator stick puppets. F ~ Use apple manipulatives and a pie tin.  Add 1 apple to the "pie".  How many apples do you have? Count up to 10.
10:00 - 10:45	Outside Play (Large motor act. indoors in bad weather) - one organized activity will be offered along with plenty of time for free play
	M ~ Act like acrobats (help the children do backbends, somersaults, and handstands). T ~ Go on an adventure.  Set out paper and markers to make maps, several pair of binoculars, cups, etc. and follow the children's lead.  Write a story about the adventure. W ~ water play Th ~ Be athletes.  How many jumping jacks can you do in 1 minute?  Practice stretches, running in place, etc. F ~ Free Play
10:45 - 11:00	Clean up, restroom, wash hands
11:00 – 11:30	Elem. Spanish at Home Activities (M & W) - *starting in Sept. Group Spanish Games (T, Th) Beth Manners' Fun Spanish for Kids
	M ~ Read The Empanadas that Abuela Made in English. Sing How do you say Picnic? & Una Merienda from Beth Manners' Fun Spanish for Kids Use play food to make a picnic basket.  Say fruit names in Spanish.  T ~ Read The Empanadas that Abuela Made in English and Spanish. How do you say Picnic? & Una Merienda from Beth Manners' Fun Spanish for Kids Glue food onto paper basket while listening to songs. W ~ Read The Empanadas that Abuela Made in Spanish. How do you say Picnic? & Una Merienda from Beth Manners' Fun Spanish for Kids Th ~ Read Dora (bilingual book in English and Spanish). Watch Dora or Diego. 	M ~ Library Day (11:30 - 12:00) T ~ 1 minute, 1 item:  Each child has 1 minute to find 1 item they want to show to the class.
